The plan to sign a contract for the construction of a new railway was approved

Tashkent confirmed plans to sign an agreement on the construction of a railway connecting China with Uzbekistan through Kyrgyzstan.
The Uzbek government sees this route as part of a larger plan to improve transport and trade links to the West, from Central Asia to Turkiye and Europe, bypassing Russia.
It is noted that "Zangezur Corridor" passes through the Syunik region of Armenia.
Also, the Zangezur-Syunik Corridor allows Azerbaijan to reach its Nakhichevan enclave, a part of the region surrounded by Armenia, Iran and Turkiye, by land.
