The President enumerated the shortcomings that hinder the full realization of the country's tourism potential

Under the chairmanship of the President, a video conference on expanding the range of tourism services and infrastructure development began.

It was noted that the tourism industry is beginning to recover as a result of the easing of pandemic restrictions in the world.

In the first quarter of this year, 610,000 foreign tourists came to our country, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year. In May, 20% of tourists from partner countries are expected to come to our country (previously this figure was 2-3%).

“However, not every governor should be reassured that there are many historical monuments or sights in my area.

Are hotels, museums, transport and roads, services, restaurants ready to receive tourists? Which governor has prepared for this?”, The head of state asked.

The President enumerated the shortcomings that hinder the full realization of the country's tourism potential.

For example, hotels in Karakalpakstan, Andijan and Kashkadarya are much less in demand.
