The President fired some governors for bribery and acquaintanceship
"Our goals are very high, people are in expectation practical results. Today, I fired 10 leaders. The measures will be very strict for those who have not worked duly since then. Everyone must draw conclusions from this", stressed the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Following his visit to Samarkand region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with governors and sector leaders. The meeting took place in a critical spirit and focused on current economic and social issues in the cities and districts. Some governors were corrupt, briber, and apathetic to people's suffering. Despite the allocation of funds, the improvement of drinking water, heating and electricity supply is slow.
For serious mistakes and shortcomings in their work the following officials have been dismissed:
Khokim of Samarkand district N. Mavlonov;
Khokim of Nurabad district F.Zairov;
Head of the Regional Department of the Central Bank O.Tukhtaev;
Prosecutor of Aqdarya district D.Kubaev;
J. Kadyrov, F. Gafarov and D. Ibragimov, heads of police departments of Samarkand city, Samarkand and Akdarya districts;
Heads of state tax inspections of Urgut and Payarik districts A.Almazov and M.Ergashev;
The head of the regional enterprise of electric networks G.Mamatkulov.
Criminal proceedings will be instituted against some of them, including allegations of corruption.
Having done all of his missions, the President returned to Tashkent.
