The President of Turkey received the Secretary General of the Turkic Council.

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreev was received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on March 30, 2021.
Secretary General Amreev informed President Erdogan about the function of the Turkic Council, an informal summit which will be held on March 31 in the format of a videoconference. Moreover, the sides discussed  about the preparations for the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council in Istanbul.
Bahgdad Amreev expressed gratitude for the constant and firm support provided by the President of the Republic of Turkey as the home country of the Turkic Council.
The Secretary General informed the President on the latest developments in the member states and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation within the Turkic Council. Besides that, the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation was noted.
President Erdogan expressed his strong support to the Secretary of the Turkic Council in the implementation of activities and projects between the member states and stressed the growing interest of non-member countries in the Organization.
The Turkish President highly appreciated the statements and work of the Secretary of State during the Karabakh war and stressed that the solidarity of the Turkish world is always a priority for Turkey.
President Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the successful work done by the Turkic Council after the 7th Turkic Council Summit held in Baku on October 15, 2019, and expressed his satisfaction with the 8th Turkic Council Summit, which will be held next fall. He expressed his satisfaction that he will host the summit.
The Turkish President welcomed the preparations for the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund and noted that the Secretary should continue to fulfill his primary role in strengthening the acceleration and solidarity between the member states in the Turkic world.
