The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of further expanding practical cooperation with Azerbaijan

On August 2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Azerbaijani delegation participating in the first multilateral meeting of the ministers of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey in our capital.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Jaykhun Bayramov, Minister of Economy Mikoil Jabarov and Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiev participated on behalf of Azerbaijan.
In accordance with the agreements of the leaders of our fraternal countries, the issues of further development of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan strategic partnership relations and expansion of practical cooperation were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that significant progress has been made following the recent high-level meeting. Last month, mutual visits of delegations were actively continued to promote projects in oil and gas and chemical industries, sericulture and other areas of agriculture, as well as within the framework of national industrialization programs.
The next meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission was successfully held yesterday in Tashkent. Today, at the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs, trade and transport of the three countries, first of all, the issues of establishing effective transport communications in the region were discussed.
The head of our state calls for all-round support and acceleration of mutually beneficial cooperation projects and programs, including the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan investment fund, promotion of relations between businessmen, the first regional forum and industrial exhibition.
