The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia considered issues of further expansion of cooperation

On August 16, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The current issues on the agenda of strategic partnership and allied relations between our countries were considered, views were exchanged on regional cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of agreements at the highest level, in particular, the promotion of priority cooperation projects at the level of Regions and entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Russia.

It should be noted that in seven months of this year, turnover increased by 30%. At the moment, the growth of sales indicators is ensured by increasing the mutual supply of high value-added products.

Active and effective exchanges are being carried out between the regions, in the fall of this year it is planned to hold a third Uzbek-Russian forum of Regions. Significant investment projects and cultural and humanitarian programs are continuing.

In the conversation, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia noted, first of all, the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation between our countries by continuing joint work on enriching practical partnership with clear, high-quality content.

The plan of the upcoming two-and multilateral events was also discussed. The heads of State touched upon the issues of organizing and holding the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand in September this year.
