The Samarkand calligrapher even copied the Koran

The Koran was written over a period of three years on Samarkand paper, which can be written on both sides and is not waterlogged.
Samarkand calligrapher Abdujalil Ergashev wrote a large Koran book measuring 60x80. The Samarkand regional office of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan reports.
"In three years, I was able to write this book of great words on 310 pages (2 pages), 620 pages in Arabic Kufi script", said the calligrapher.
According to calligrapher, Samarkand paper is known for its durability, the ability to write on both sides, and its water resistance. That's why the pages of the book are made of this paper.
For information, Samarkand paper is produced at the “Konigil-Meros” paper craft center. Today, Samarkand paper is widely used not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Japan for the restoration of ancient manuscripts and rare works.
One of the largest and most ancient copies of the Koran, Usman Musfakhi, is also preserved in Uzbekistan at the “Moyi Mubarak” Madrasa.
