The suspension of membership in the Council of Europe, according to Medvedev, death penalty resumption

Russia's suspension of membership in the Council of Europe and PACE has grounds for "forgetting meaningless charity" and reinstating the death penalty, Medvedev said.
Klishas reminded that the moratorium was introduced by the Constitutional Court, and government agencies cannot change this position.
Russia's suspension from the Council of Europe and PACE is "a good opportunity to restore a number of important institutions for the prevention of serious crimes in the country," noted Dmitry Medvedev, a former deputy president of the Security Council and former Russian prime minister.
He said that the theme is going on death penalty.
According to Medvedev, restricting membership in the Council of Europe is "a good reason to finally close the door and forget about meaningless charity forever".
