The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the Model SCO-2022

November 19 this year at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held an interactive game "Model SCO-2022". It was attended by young thinkers from different faculties of the university. The theme of the current model was "Environmental Diplomacy of the SCO: environmental cooperation on the path to prosperity.

This project is implemented by the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the SCO Youth Platform Network SCOLAR with the support of the SCO Secretariat. The joint event is organized by representatives of the UWED Student Council.

The main goal of the SCO model is to stimulate the interest of young people in the activities of the organization within the format of simulating political discussions at high-level summits of the SCO member countries. The current "SCO Model" replicated the activities of one of the organization's main mechanisms, the Council of SCO Heads of State. The event promoted a better understanding of the organization's activities among young people. Delegates from 9 nations of the SCO region, comprising representatives of member states and the SCO secretariat, were in attendance.

The delegates of the SCO model made proposals for international regional activities in the field of environmental threats, discussed prospects and measures to strengthen comprehensive environmental cooperation in the SCO region for a more inclusive global growth of the region. They discussed the final document - a declaration with the delegations' proposed initiatives.

The participants of the event also noted the concrete and practical nature of the President's proposals to address the aforementioned issues made at the historic September summit in Samarkand.

At the end of the conference, participants of the event were presented with valuable gifts and certificates, and winners in the categories "Best Lecture", "Best Delegate", "Best Debut" and "Most Active Participant" were awarded diplomas.
