In the Louvre Museum in Paris on November 23rd will be opened the exhibition "Treasures of Uzbekistan oases. At the intersection of caravan routes".
The exhibition tells about the history of the Great Silk Road passing through the southern region of modern Uzbekistan.
It is reported that the exhibition will be exposed in the museum till next March.
It is noted that the exhibition will feature items of monumental and machine art, wall paintings, carved details of palaces, art crafts.
"The exhibition includes 168 museum exhibits, including 137 exhibits from 13 museums of Uzbekistan and 31 exhibits from leading museums of the world.
Specially for the exhibition Uzbek and French specialists restored 70 items. Restoration work began in 2017. In addition, together with specialists from the Louvre, a system of transportation of the most valuable objects from Uzbekistan to France was established and carefully organized. - stated the organizers of the exhibition.
For information, the exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Louvre Museum.
