Triple sun: a rare optical phenomenon observed in Uzbekistan

"The 'triple sun' is an optical phenomenon in winter conditions. It occurs due to the refraction of light in ice crystals "suspended" in the air.

The crystals are hexagonal and the beam of light entering them is deflected and the sun is "doubled". This is the so-called 'halo' effect.
