Turkey announces full lockdown. Uzbek MFA warns about trips to Turkey

Turkey extended the introduced rules for the entry into the country until May 31, 2021, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara reports

 in a televised address following a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country,Turkey’s president has announced the country's strictest pandemic restrictions so far from April 29 to May 19.

“We are moving to a complete closure from 19:00 on Thursday, April 29, until 5:00 on Monday, May 17," said Erdogan.

He added that in accordance with the new epidemiological measures, intercity travel will only be possible with a permit, and intercity transport will only work with a 50 percent load.

 Restrictions include:
 - 72 hours before arrival in Turkey, pass the PCR test and receive the corresponding certificate in English with a QR code, which must be translated into English and contain the wording Negative Sars-CoV-2 PCR;

 - fill out the form on the delivery of the PCR test on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey at the link https://register.health.gov.tr. When filling out the form, it is required to indicate in English, as in a foreign passport: name, surname, nationality, passport number, telephone number, e-mail address, flight details, temporary residence address in Turkey, countries that the tourist visited within 10 days prior to arrival to Turkey;

 - print the completed application form and download it to a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) - after filling out the form, a personal HES code will be generated, which should be presented during the trip, when checking into a hotel in Turkey, as well as for visiting a number of objects and activities. You can present the HES code both in printed form and on the screen of a mobile device;

 - present a printed or downloaded questionnaire on a mobile device to an airline employee at the airport of departure. Without a questionnaire, boarding will be denied.

It should be noted that citizens of foreign countries arriving in Turkey without a HES code may be banned from entering the country with subsequent deportation at their own expense.

This requirement does not apply to transit passengers.
