Turkey lifts basic quarantine requirement

The Turkish government annulled the mandatory mask system on May 29, which was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health Fahrettin Koja.

He said that with the exception of medical facilities, it is mandatory to wear protective equipment.

According to his words, the decision came amid a sharp decline in the number of new coronavirus infections in the country.

The Minister noted that every day, less than 100 cases of infection have been recorded in Turkey in the last three days.
