«Turkmangaz» supplies liquefied gas to Uzbekistan free of charge

According to a presidential decree, the Turkmangaz state concern has been tasked with transferring the appropriate amount of liquefied gas to Uzbekistan. It is noted that the statement did not contain information on the exact volume of the gas to be transferred.

It is noted that the decree was signed to support Uzbekistan in a friendly and brotherly manner.

During the gas problems observed in Uzbekistan in December 2022, an agreement was signed between the two countries on the delivery of a total of 1.5 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Uzbekistan by Turkmenistan for a period of three months. However, due to technical reasons caused by cold weather, Turkmenistan temporarily suspended natural gas exports to Uzbekistan from 12 January and resumed them on 21 January.
