Ulugbekhon Maksumov's AKSUM GROUP makes its first debut at IDEX/NAVDEX 2023
The AKSUM GROUP, the new personal brand of international entrepreneur Ulugbekhon Maksumov, made its high-profile debut at the region's leading defence exhibition IDEX/NAVDEX 2023 this February.
The Aksum Group is formed from AKSUM MARINE, an advanced maritime solutions provider headquartered in Um Al Quwain, UAE, with a subsidiary in Uzbekistan, and AKSUM VPK, the largest armoured vehicle manufacturer in Uzbekistan with plans to expand to the UAE in the near future.
Aksum Marine unveiled four armoured and specialty boats at the event, of which two were armoured, one RIB rescue boat and one interceptor, parked at Marine's water.
Aksum VPK, on its part, exhibited one armoured commercial vehicle for private security and two APC models, MAX DS and MAX VDS, fully customisable, and participated in LIVE DEMO sessions with MAX DS and a small MAX S APC at the stand.
"We performed at IDEX/NAVDEX 2023 to finally demonstrate our supreme class of engineering and advanced technical excellence. We are producing an exceptional product, absolutely unique," said Ulugbekhon Maksumov.
Aksum Marine is introducing a new generation of armoured and specialty boats with an unusual hull design made of impact-resistant, corrosion and weather-resistant, durable HDPE material.
Aksum VPK leverages its founder's unique experience in the defence market to offer quality and reliability in response to current market demands in a conflict-prone environment.
This is a new dawn for the AKSUM Group as the conglomerate's brand continues to gain momentum. AKSUM MARINE plants can be visited in the UAE and Uzbekistan, while AKSUM VPK is so far only operating in Uzbekistan, but plans to launch production in the UAE by early 2024.
