United States - Uzbekistan business forum to be held in the first quarter of 2023

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, headed by its chairperson Carolyn Lamm, who arrived in our country to attend the first session of the Foreign Investors Council. The delegation comprised leaders of General Electric, Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola, CNH Industrial, John Deere, Zeppelin, and Silverleafe.
Greeting the guests, the head of Uzbekistan stressed with particular satisfaction the dynamic advancement of Uzbek-American multilayered interaction.
It has been underscored that the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, comprising 38 leading companies, has been making a remarkable input into bolstering the bilateral strategic partnership.
Views have been exchanged on further expanding the practical cooperation and promoting joint cooperation projects between enterprises of our countries.
Among the promising areas mentioned were energy, chemical, mechanical engineering, food and textile industry, agriculture and healthcare.
Carolyn Lamm on behalf of the U.S. business community expressed gratitude to the head of our state for his comprehensive support of the Chamber members' activities in the republic.
Representatives of U.S. business circles especially noted the growing interest of American businesses to further deepen co-operation. They highly appreciated the success of reforms conducted under the guidance of Uzbekistan's leader, and reaffirmed their intention to make extensive use of the emerging opportunities for the expansion of investment partnership with our country.
An agreement has been reached to hold a joint business forum in the first quarter of 2023 to elaborate new joint projects.
