Uzbek - Hungarian Business Council meeting

The first meeting of the Uzbek - Hungarian Business Council is being held today on March 29,2021 in Tashkent.The event is attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyarto. The program is moderated by Akram Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.In his opening speech, Sardor Umurzakov noted the importance of the ongoing forum. Emphasizing that this form will strengthen relations between countries and entrepreneurs in order to implement the agreements reached during his visit to Budapest in February this year.Also, the representative of the Hungarian delegation noted the importance of strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary in the current global situation. Mr,Two Siyarto noted that two countries that have many similarities should have common goals and develop despite territorial remoteness. Uzbekistan's assistance to the Republic of Hungary during the peak of the pandemic was highlighted (Uzbekistan sent first aid equipment to Hungary for humanitarian aid)The chairmen of the Chambers of Commerce of Uzbekistan and Hungary signed a memorandum on bilateral cooperation.
