For the first time in France more than 300 exhibits from nine major museums of our country, including textiles, clothing and footwear, headdresses, jewelry, as well as 24 paintings of the Turkestan and Russian avant-garde from the museums of Nukus, Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent will be presented to the international public.
The exhibition was initiated and organized jointly by the Foundation for Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Arab World Institute. The general curator of the exhibition is Yaffa Assulin.
"I am confident that this large-scale project will bring the intercultural cooperation between France and Uzbekistan to a new level by opening up the unique achievements of applied and fine arts of the region for a broader audience", Mirziyoyeva said.
