Uzbekistan – India: 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation

On December 13, 2021, S. Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized negotiations via videoconference with Piyush Goyal - Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of India.

The conference addressed the current state of investment and trade-economic cooperation between the countries, its development, expansion of interregional relations and implementation of joint projects.

What is more, both sides discussed the visit of a working group led by the leadership of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to Delhi to hold meetings with relevant ministries, government agencies and private companies in India to elaborate an economic collaboration program between the two countries.

During the conversation, the 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in early 2022, as well as the participation of Uzbek regions’ heads in the following 10th Global Summit taking place in January 2022 in Gujarat was covered.
