Uzbekistan and Russia leaders hold telephone conversation

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 4 January. The two leaders discussed issues of further deepening the Uzbek-Russian relations and comprehensive strategic partnership.
The sides noted with satisfaction the dynamics of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including the growth of mutual trade turnover, increase in the number of joint ventures and cooperation projects involving leading companies of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The parties stressed the importance of continuing intensive contacts between the regions of the two countries, making good use to this end of the annual Tashkent international exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia exhibition held annually in Tashkent, as well as the Uzbek-Russian Forum of Regions. Particular attention has been paid to the expansion of mutually advantageous cooperation in oil and gas sector.
The head of Uzbekistan has also highly appreciated the fruitful outcomes of CIS informal summit in St Petersburg
December 26-27, 2022. The telephone conversation between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in a traditionally warm, friendly and businesslike atmosphere.
