Uzbekistan Arbitration Week will be held in Tashkent

Uzbekistan Arbitration Week (UzAW 2022) will be held in Tashkent on September 19-23 of this year. The organizers of UzAW 2022 are: the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent International Arbitration Center (TIAC) under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, as well as the Tashkent State Law University and the International Westminster University in Tashkent.
UzAW is a series of events that brings together leading experts from around the world, including arbitrators and representatives of the legal, arbitration and business communities, in particular international companies such as GST LLP, Foley Hoag LLP, Allen&Overy, Praelegal.
The purpose of UzAW 2022 is to raise the awareness of the participants about the latest trends in alternative dispute resolution, as well as about the planned and implemented reforms aimed at improving the business environment in Uzbekistan and increasing the investment attractiveness of the region. In addition, UzAW aims to promote Uzbekistan as a favorable venue for international arbitration and serves as an excellent networking opportunity for all interested parties.
More than 200 representatives of international, state organizations and other large companies are expected to participate in the events within the framework of UzAW. International organizations that support UzAW include: the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Office of the OSCE Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the Trade Law Development Program (THRD) and the Asian Development Bank.
