Uzbekistan-OSCE: Cooperation prospects

Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who arrived in Turkey to participate in the Second Diplomatic Forum to be held on March 11, 2022 in Antalya, met with the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Helga Schmid.

Current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE were canvassed by the sides.

Emphasizing the open and trusting dialogue established between Uzbekistan and the OSCE in recent years, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in proceeding and enhancing cooperation in all three areas.

The fruitful corollary of the high-level international conference "Regional Cooperation of Central Asian States in the framework of the Joint Action Plan for the Implementation of the UNs Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy" held in Tashkent on March 3-4 were highlighted.

Proposals for joint projects in areas of mutual interest were addressed.

Views on some regional issues, in particular the situation in Afghanistan, were exchanged.
