Uzbekistan-Russia: topical issues of strategic partnership relations

On January 3, acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to our country Oleg Malginov. It has been stressed that the sides are willing to implement the agreements reached following the meeting and talks between the leaders of the two countries.

The sides exchanged views on current issues of Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields. Particular attention has been paid to the acceleration of economic diplomacy, including the rise in trade turnover, attraction of investments and implementation of joint projects.

A schedule of bilateral and multilateral events and their agenda was discussed. The sides noted the willingness of Uzbekistan and Russia to continue the dialogue within international and regional institutions.
