Uzbekistan-Turkiye: trade and economic cooperation and investment climate

On November 24 this year, representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the event "New Prospects for Turkish-Uzbek Economic Cooperation" organized in Tashkent jointly with the Economic Research Foundation of the Republic of Turkiye and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Prospects of developing trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkiye, improvement of investment climate, acceleration of regional and international trade and economic relations, infrastructure development were discussed during the event.

Possibilities of further activating the international Trans-Caspian corridor, increasing the volumes of freight traffic, optimizing prices, developing transport infrastructure, facilitating transit processes and expanding cooperation in interregional transport and logistics, including joint implementation of major logistics infrastructure projects were also considered.

At the end of the event, participants identified priority areas of trade and economic relations between Turkish businesses and Uzbek entrepreneurs, and expressed willingness to continue cooperation to establish long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.
