Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan: Documents signed to strengthen partnership

The ceremony of signing and exchange of documents was held at the end of top-level negotiations. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a declaration on deepening strategic partnership.
In addition, a range of documents have been signed at the level of governments, ministries and agencies of the two countries that provide for enhancement of multifaceted Uzbek-Turkmen cooperation, including:
A practical action plan for 2022-2024 to intensify political dialogue, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian exchange between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan;
An agreement on the further development of bilateral foreign economic relations;
Agreement on the regulation of trading houses in the territories of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan;
Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation;
Plan of practical measures for further expansion of cooperation in the field of agriculture;
Agreement on the registration of medicines and medical products.
Agreements have also been adopted on cooperation in electricity, customs, veterinary and stockbreeding, cinematography and other areas.
