Uzbekistan will open a bachelor's degree in cybersports

Presidential Decree "On additional measures for the further development and widespread popularization of cybersports" was adopted. According to the resolution from academic year 2023/2024 in the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports will be opened a bachelor course "Sports activity: cybersports", the term of training on this direction will be set at 3 years.

According to the decree, the organization of national and international championships and tournaments on cybersports, as well as worthy participation in prestigious international and regional competitions is defined as one of the main directions of development of cybersports.

Since 2023, traditionally in cybersports:

The republican championship "Uzbekistan Esports Championship" is held annually in April ;
Annual December tournament "Cup of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
Every year in June there is a tournament "Youth Cup".
Decision was created interdepartmental council for the further development and widespread popularization of eSports.

Also approved a program of measures for the further development and widespread popularization of cybersports, providing for the phased elimination of the problem of "ping" in cybersport.

According to the resolution from 2023/2024 academic year in the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports will open a bachelor course "Sports activities: cybersports", the duration of this direction will be set at 3 years.

Cybersportivists who won the national championship "Uzbekistan Esports Championship" in the last year (1st place) will be exempt from the professional (creative) examinations in this direction of the bachelor degree from 2023/2024 academic year and receive the maximum number of points.
