Uzbekistan's 100-year demographic profile

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as at 1 January 2023, the permanent population of our country was 36 024 946 people.

The number of permanent residents of our country by year:

—1940 г. - 6.6 million people;
—1950 г. - 6.2 million people;
—1960 г. - 8.4 million people;
—1970 г. - 11.8 million people;
—1980 г. - 15.8 million people;
—1990 г. - 20.2 million people;
—2000 г. - 24.5 million people;
—2010 г. - 28 million people;
—2020 г. - 33.9 million people.
