Views on progress in economic and governance reforms exchanged

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with his adviser for economic development, good governance and international cooperation Suma Chakrabarti on December 16.

The progress achieved and future plans in the framework of economic and governance reforms in our country were discussed.
Touching on the reforms underway in all important areas, the Head of State stressed the importance of continuing to work to modernise and ensure the competitiveness of priority sectors of the economy, in the areas of transformation of public administration, digitalisation and investment attractiveness.

Suma Chakrabarti, noting that the effective measures undertaken by Uzbekistan amid the difficult situation in the global economy have ensured the dynamics of economic reforms in the country, has supported efforts for continuation of joint efforts in this direction at the new stage.
