At the beginning of his speech, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated our peoples on the holiday of Navruz and the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The history of our nations draws attention to the unity and closeness of today.

"Our countries, located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road, have long been known as the crossroads of caravan routes to Asia, Europe and Africa. Although our Turkish brothers and sisters live thousands of kilometers away from us today, our languages ​​and hearts are very close. We have the same historical roots and the same aspirations today", said the President of Uzbekistan.

It was noted with satisfaction that trade and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey are developing rapidly. In recent years, bilateral trade has increased 2.5 times and the number of joint ventures has increased 5 times. The volume of investments from Turkey to Uzbekistan has increased 70 times.

The talks focused on political, inter-parliamentary, trade-economic, investment, transport, textile, energy, agriculture, health, cultural and humanitarian issues. A joint "road map" will be developed to fully implement all the agreements reached.

Last year, Days of Uzbek Culture were held in Ankara and Istanbul.This year, it is planned to organize Days of Turkish Culture in Tashkent and Samarkand.
Recently, in Tashkent, a unique work with a great cultural heritage of all Turkic peoples - "Book of Dada Korkut" was published in full in Uzbek. The head of state presented the book to the President of Turkey.
