Zelensky called for the closure of airports and seaports for Russia

In his next address, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called for the closure of airports and seaports for Russia. He also demanded that Russia be expelled from the UN Security Council and asked Russia not to purchase any goods from energy sources.

Zelensky said Russia had hinted "some signals" during the talks, but not the results Ukraine had hoped for.

In a new address to the nation, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Russia was committing "war crimes" and could not join the UN Security Council. He called on Russia to close access to all ports, canals and airports around the world and to give up Russian exports, starting with energy.

"A state that has committed war crimes against civilians cannot be a member of the UN Security Council. Such countries should close access to all ports, canals and airports around the world." Said Ukrainian President. According to Zelensky, Russia should not receive "hundreds of billions" for energy exports. Zelensky asked to refuse to supply Russian goods.

He also said that negotiations with Russia have not yet achieved the results that Ukraine wants to attain. Zelensky said that Russia had stated its position in the talks, while Ukraine had opposed it in order to "end the war." According to the Ukrainian president, the Ukrainian delegation received "some signals" from Russia.

The first talks between Russia and Ukraine since the start of the "military operation" lasted five hours and took place on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. The parties consented on a new meeting. The Jerusalem Post and The Guardian reported that billionaire Roman Abramovich was assisting in the negotiations. Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of Ukraine's presidential administration, said the parties were now heading to the capitals for consultations.

In negotiation with Ukraine, the head of the Russian delegation, Aide to the President Vladimir Madinsky, confirmed that the parties had found "some ideas that could predict common positions." According to Medinsky, the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will take place on the Polish-Belarusian border.
