Observers of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly began their activities

At the invitation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, long-term observers of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly arrived in our country.

On October 6, at the Central Election Commission, a meeting was held with representatives of the delegation headed by Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council - Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Observance of Electoral Rights of Citizens of the IPA CIS Member States I. Mushket.

The CIS PA observer group will be headed by Mahmadali Vatanzoda, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the course of their work, the CIS PA observers will observe the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and regions.
Observers received the right to participate in all activities related to the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as in the voting rooms and counting of votes on election day.

For information: The CIS PA observer group is part of the CIS election observation mission. At the same time, the activities of the election observation group are coordinated by the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Observance of the Electoral Rights of Citizens of the Member States of the IPA CIS. To date, 69 representatives of the Secretariat of the Council of the PA CIS and IIMDD are accredited by the CEC as international observers.
