The CIS Observer Mission has begun its activities

A delegation of long-term observers of the Mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States headed by First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Leonid Anfimov arrived in Uzbekistan.
On September 29, a meeting with members of the Observer Mission was held at the Central Election Commission.
During the meeting with the leadership of the CEC, a mission headquarters will be created in Tashkent to coordinate the activities of the CIS observers.
The CIS mission will collect and analyze materials on the electoral process, conduct legal expertise of electoral legislation and monitor election-related materials in television programs and print media, as well as hold meetings at the election headquarters of candidates.
To date, the CEC has registered 112 international observers.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the members of the delegation with the leadership of a number of ministries and departments is planned.
