Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to name SamGU in honor of Sharof Rashidov

At a meeting with voters in Samarkand, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to name SamGu in honor of the famous statesman and public figure Sharof Rashidov, who worked here and made an invaluable contribution to the development of science, education, culture, literature and art of the republic.

“In addition, if we adopt a law according to which the Samarkand Medical Institute will receive the status of a university, I think this will create a more solid foundation for the existing potential and future development of the university,” Mirziyoyev said.
