Meeting of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Budget and Economic Reforms

On August 23, 2021, a meeting of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Budget and Economic Reforms was held. The meeting discussed issues that are planned to be considered at the eighteenth plenary meeting of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

In particular, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On insurance activities" and "On amendments and additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the report on the activities of the Committee for 2020 and the first half of 2021 and other issues.

After that, the activities of the committee in 2020 and the first half of 2021 were discussed.

23 laws received from the Legislative Chamber were preliminary considered. The Senate Council submitted the committee's conclusions on the approval of 22 bills and on the rejection of one law.

Heard 4 reports, 24 information from the heads of ministries, departments and public authorities at the local level.

During the reporting period, 10 laws in the field of budgetary and financial relations were preliminarily considered and 12 control and analytical activities were carried out.

In the field of monetary policy, 4 control and analytical events were organized.

The committee preliminary considered 13 bills aimed at reforming economic sectors.

The state of implementation of the Law "On Competition" in monopolistic organizations was studied, information from the relevant leaders was heard.

The relevant decisions of the Committee were adopted on the issues considered at the meeting.
