Advanced Internet access in Uzbekistan

To increase the throughput of the International Packet Switching Center, it was directed to purchase the necessary equipment in the amount of $ 25.9 million.
The government approved the main technical and economic indicators of the project to increase the throughput of the International Center for Packet Switching of Uzbektelecom JSC.
The American company Winncom Technologies Corp won the tender for the implementation of the project. The total cost of the project is estimated at $ 25.9 million
The funds are planned to be directed to:
- purchase of equipment to increase the throughput of BNG and DPI of Uzbektelecom installations - in the amount of 4.97 million dollars;
- Expansion of the bandwidth of the data transmission network - $ 4.99 million;
- expansion of the throughput of the Uzbektelecom International Packet Switching Center - $ 4.99 million;
 - purchase of equipment to expand the provision of services - $ 4.99 million.
According to the document, the main sources of financing will be a loan from Aloqabank ($ 19.95 million) and Uzbektelecom's own funds ($ 5.97 million). The loan was provided for a period of 5 years with a grace period of 2 years at a rate of 7%.

Expenses for the repayment of the bank loan and the interest accrued on it will be made at the expense of Uzbektelecom.
