$1 billion will be allocated for introduction of renewable energy sources

In order to improve the energy supply of the city of Tashkent, the President has set additional targets.

These include:

-Launching projects to generate 400 million kilowatt-hours of electricity by installing solar panels in industrial zones and large enterprises;
-generating 75 million kilowatt-hours of electricity by installing solar panels in social areas and public buildings;
-construction of a large 500 MW solar power plant in Ukurchirchik district;
-reduction of electricity losses by 1% and improvement of energy efficiency by 3% in industrial enterprises in the capital;
-completely upgrade the internal heating system of 1,817 multi-storey buildings;
-upgrade 300 km of main heating networks and reduce losses by 5%.

In total, $1 billion will be allocated for the introduction of renewable energy sources in the city.
