14-day isolation period is abated to 7 days

In Uzbekistan, the isolation period will be reduced for those who come in contact with a patient with COVID-19.

The Republican Special Commission on Coronavirus has adopted a new decision.

According to the document, the period of self-isolation of people in contact with people with coronavirus will be curtailed to 7 days. Previously, this period was 14 days.

A statement from the Ministry of Health said the quarantine period was reduced because the latent period of development of the omicron strain in the patient's body was shorter than in previous versions of the coronavirus.
