163 investment projects worth 110.9 billion UZS

On December 21, Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, participated in Tashkent Youth Forum 2021 addressing on mechanisms of young entrepreneurs’ support and prospects of their activeness in the investment atmosphere.

In his speech, he touched upon the success of large-scale socio-economic reforms in our country and recognized by the international community, bold steps towards the country's integration into the world economy, as well as the growing interest of foreign investors, internationally financial institutions and organizations in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the Minister concentrated on the results of program implementation to corroborate youth entrepreneurship. In particular, 192 youth industrial and business zones were established in the country last year. 185 projects worth 345.4 billion UZS were implemented and about 3.5 thousand new jobs were created. At the same time, more than 3.1 thousand projects worth more than 1.7 trillion UZS will be implemented, which will create an additional 36.4 thousand new jobs. The Youth Entrepreneurship Support Fund also financed 163 investment projects worth 110.9 billion UZS.

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade has announced the launch of a competition for the 100 best innovative investment projects aimed at realizing the potential of young people in the investment ambiance and stimulating the development of youth entrepreneurship.
