1,859 Uzbek citizens were evacuated from Ukraine by 8 flights

Pursuant to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on March 2-3, 2022, 671 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan were evacuated from Ukraine via Katowice airport in Poland by 3 aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways.

They were 129 women, 82 children and 14 infants.

Totally, 1,859 of Uzbek citizens were brought from Ukraine via Poland on 8 flights. Several more evacuation flights are planned for today.

More than 1,100 citizens of Uzbekistan remain on the territory of Poland. Of those, 550 were stationed at a gathering point on the Polish border and 550 at Katowice airport.

Despite the fact that the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine is engaged in hostilities, the evacuation of citizens of Uzbekistan proceeds.

The diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Poland and Ukraine are working continuously. Hot meals are delivered to our citizens and medical services are provided if necessary.
