2.5 trillion UZS were allocated for the construction and reconstruction of 527 schools

Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined the main directions of school education reform.

"One thing needs to be clearly perceived. New schools under construction and renovations should be comfortable and flexible for both students and teachers, in which solar panels and hot water collectors are must.

Regional, city and district khokims are now in charge of this work. From today, the Ministry of Public Education's mandate to be the construction contractor will end.

Officials and regional governors were instructed to present the "Exemplar School" projects within a month, based on the new requirements.
