2,579 Uzbek citizens were evacuated with 11 flights

More than 1,480 citizens of Uzbekistan remain on the territory of Poland. Of these, 700 were stationed at a gathering point on the Polish state border and 780 at Katowice airport.

In pursuance with the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on March 3-4, 2022, 720 Uzbek citizens were evacuated from Ukraine via Katowice airport in Poland.

As of March 4, 2,579 Uzbek citizens were returned via 11 flights.

According to experts, Uzbekistan is one of the few countries that has launched a rapid evacuation of its citizens. All return flights are free of charge.
