27 September - World Tourism Day!

Congratulations to all people involved in the hospitality industry on World Tourism Day!

World Tourism Day was organized by the General Assembly of the UNWTO World Tourism Organization in Torremolinos, Spain, in 1979 and is celebrated annually on 27 September. The date was chosen on the same day in 1970 on the occasion of the adoption of the Statutes of the World Tourism Organization.

The purpose of the holiday is to popularise tourism, highlight its contribution to the economy of the world community and develop relations among the peoples of different countries.
