3,245 Uzbek citizens were evacuated from Ukraine

Reportedly, from February 28 to March 5, 14 flights were organized in which 3,245 Uzbek citizens were returned.

On March 4-5, 2022, 666 citizens of Uzbekistan, including 89 women, 59 minors and 8 infants were brought from Ukraine through Katowice airport in Poland.

Thanks to the efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv, 20 Uzbek citizens, who were receiving medical treatment in Truskavets, were evacuated. The administration of Sumy oblast is working on opening a "green corridor" for 25 Uzbek students studying at universities here.

"The Uzbek Embassy in Ukraine is in constant contact with its compatriots. Diplomats are visiting diff parts of Ukraine, including areas where fighting is ongoing, and are evacuating our citizens," the ministry reported.
