360 billion soums will be allocated to improve the social sphere and infrastructure in Kashkadarya

During a special session of the Kashkadarya Regional Council on April 22, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on future tasks and challenges.

Only 43% of the province's population has access to centralized drinking water. There are also problems in gas, electricity, roads, transport, agriculture, and banking and credit. 108 medical institutions, 172 schools and 144 kindergartens are being repaired in the region. The heating system in many kindergartens and schools is out of order. 19 schools have high attendance rates and a shortage of places.

Therefore, it was noted that this year an additional 360 billion soums will be allocated from the national budget to improve the social sphere and infrastructure in Kashkadarya. In addition, $ 100 million in soft loans from international financial institutions will be provided.

It was noted that today 350,000 people are in need of work, and it is important to involve them in entrepreneurship, handicrafts and home-based work on the basis of the new mahalla system. It is reported that a program of 270 industrial projects worth 14.7 trillion soums for 2022-2023 has been formed.

It was noted that 524 projects worth 7.4 trillion soums can be implemented in agriculture and create 286,000 jobs.

In addition, 143 high-rise buildings with 5,000 apartments will be commissioned in Kashkadarya this year.

1,823 kilometers of drinking water networks and 1,570 kilometers of internal roads will be built, and gas supply to more than 9,000 people will be restored.

Within the framework of the “Obod Kishlok” and “Obod Makhalla” programs, the appearance of 30 settlements will be improved this year.

Instructions were given on the construction of preschools and schools, medical centers, and the meaningful organization of youth time.
