44-the Champions of the All-World Chess Olympiad were solemnly welcomed

The Uzbekistan national team, which became the winner of the 44th World Chess Olympiad hosted by the Indian city of Chennai, returned to Tashkent today, on the night of August 11. Chess players were welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by their relatives, government representatives, media and fans led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.

The greetings of the president of Uzbekistan to chess players were read by Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov. Chess players were also awarded cash prizes of 600 million rubles, as well as keys to the Equinox car.

Recall that the men's national team of Uzbekistan was in a decisive round against the Netherlands, winning with a score of 2.5:1.5. Through this victory, the men's national team of Uzbekistan solved the issue of the gold medal and became the Olympic champion for the first time in its history.

And the Uzbek women's national chess team won the final round over Costa Rica (2.5: 1.5), finishing the Olympics in 31st place among 162 teams.
