45,600 workers who refused to be inoculated against the coronavirus have been suspended

In August 2021, Article 113 of the Labor Code was amended. According to the amendment, if an employee refuses to be vaccinated, the employer has the right not to hire him/her.

According to Bahodir Yusupaliev, the head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, 28,500 businesses and 44,600 budget organizations were surveyed.

"A total of 89,400 people who did not receive the vaccine were identified during the staff immunization surveys. Of these, 45,600 people were suspended. In 4,600 cases, fines were imposed on employers, and 246 facilities were suspended”, he elaborated.
