5,037 Uzbek citizens, via 22 flights, were evacuated from Ukraine

In pursuance with the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on March 8-9, 2022, 250 Uzbek citizens were brought from Ukraine through the Katowice airport in Poland.
From February 28 to March 9, 22 flights were organized and 5,037 of our compatriots were returned from the war zones.
The number of Uzbek citizens arriving from Ukraine at the Karchova checkpoint is declining.
Another flight is scheduled for March 9, today.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine evacuated 23 Uzbek students from Sumi under the auspices of international humanitarian organizations.
Work is underway to evacuate citizens from different parts of Ukraine. The main focus is on the evacuation of Uzbek citizens left behind in the war-torn areas.
Uzbek diplomats are in the Republic of Moldova to scrutinize the issue of evacuation of our compatriots from the country.
