6-th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Transport of the organization of Turkic States

Today, October 28, 6-th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Transport of the organization of Turkic States was held at the Palace of International Forums "Uzbekistan" in Tashkent.

The meeting was held by the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov under the moderatorship of the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreev.

The meeting was also attended by the Ministers of Transport of Uzbekistan, Turkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and the observer country Hungary, who are members of the organization, and held discussions on a number of issues in the field.

The parties unanimously noted that transport is one of the main areas of continuous cooperation between OTS member states.

Also, the parties will take necessary measures to facilitate transport and transit operations in the Trans-Caspian International Middle East-West Corridor by simplifying administrative and visa procedures for drivers, encouraging national carriers that carry out transport and transit operations.

In addition, they paid attention to the documents that are planned to be signed within the framework of the upcoming OTS summit in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of transport and logistics between OTS member states, create favorable conditions for carriers, develop transit and multimodal transport.
