8 trillion UZS will be allocated for projects such as water, electricity, roads and schools

"A mahalla is the foundation of peace and tranquillity, a fortress of harmony and solidarity, enlightenment and education. Therefore, from now on, state investment programmes will be brought down to the level of mahallas," the President said.
First of all, in 2023 about three times more money, i.e. 8 trillion UZS, will be allocated for water, electricity, roads and schools projects proposed by the population.
It was stressed that every district should have its own library and sports ground.
A "mahalla budget" system will be introduced so that the mahalla can solve its problems independently. For this purpose, from 1 January, part of the property and land taxes will remain in the mahalla.
