A child who learned the profession and language from school is a great achievement of our society, a problem that he did not know - the President

Today, January 20, an expanded meeting on the development of the system of teaching foreign languages and professions in schools was held. In it, the importance of teaching students to modern professions in Information Technology and the “creative industry” was emphasized.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid special attention to the principle of “social state” in his address to our people.
The basis for achieving this is, first of all, education. Therefore, the priority task was to teach schoolchildren at least two foreign languages and one profession.
In recent years, attention to education, teachers has increased, the number of receptions and directions in higher education have increased. But the quality in schools has not yet reached the level of demand. For example, a child who has been in school for 11 years does not know a foreign language perfectly. Due to the lack of conditions and specialists, an atmosphere of interest of young people in professions has not been formed. 50% of school graduates enter the labor market without having any profession.
Therefore, issues of improving the quality of teaching foreign languages and vocational guidance of students were discussed at the meeting.
"A child who has learned a profession and a language from school is a great achievement of our society, a problem that he did not know," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
To introduce this experience, one city and two districts were selected from each province. The conditions of more than 2 thousand schools in them, the qualifications of educators, the interest of students in vocational and foreign languages were studied.
Now, based on the nature of districts and neighborhoods, it is planned that students will be taught 64 different working professions in the school itself.
Therefore, the authorities were tasked with organizing professional workshops in these selected schools, equipping them and providing them with the necessary items. Youth leaders and entrepreneurs are also involved in this, funds from the Youth Foundation are directed.
For quality teaching of foreign languages, schools were instructed to attract educators who are “language owners”, to implement language teaching experience, textbooks and programs of presidential schools.
At the meeting, the regional governors gave information on plans for the development of foreign languages and vocational training on the example of selected schools.
